So difficult to choose between these Christmas cards (I love the little red truck card!), but I finally ended up choosing this one. I loved the colors – especially for a Christmas so in need of peace (blue) and hope (golden) – and the way the light and lines move through the tree. There’s a certain elegance, too, to the solitude of this single tree with the Christmas greetings layered beneath the lowest branches. Also, I don’t remember what the technique is called that creates the circles/sources of light/snowflakes? on the tree, but it’s so interesting. I love how it makes it seem as though they were the last layer applied when (as I understand it) they’re actually the base layer, which is just to say I love the effect of creating “something out of nothing.” It feels very 2020, right? Great card!
